Yorkshire elite under the Cosh for Areas

The list of judges that will be in the box at Bradford next year have been revealed.

St Georges Hall

The line up of adjudicators who will need to be impressed by the bands at the 2015 Yorkshire Regional Championships have been announced.

Respected duo

As usual, the contest takes place at St. George’s Hall in Bradford on the weekend of the 7th & 8th March, with the Championship and First Section contenders coming under the critical analysis of the respected duo of Paul Cosh and Dr Graham O Jones MBE, the former Senior Director of Music of the Household Division.

The experienced Paul Cosh last adjudicated the top section in Bradford in 2012, whilst Graham O Jones will be making his debut in the Yorkshire box, although he adjudicated the top section in Stevenage in 2014, as well as in Scotland in 2009 & 2011 and the Midlands in 2103.

Pairings

The Second Section will see Simone Rebello and Kevin Wadsworth cast their opinions on the performances presented to them, with Leigh Baker and Dr Robert Childs taking care of the Third Section.

Brighouse & Rastrick and Foden’s euphonium stars, David Thornton and Glyn Williams team up in the Fourth Section.

Welcome

Commenting on the appointments, Peggy Tomlinson, Yorkshire Regional Secretary, told 4BR: "We will be pleased to welcome all the adjudicators to St. George’s Hall next March.

Some are adjudicating at our championships for the first time, but they are all looking forward to the challenge and I feel confident we can look forward to a good weekend’s contesting."
