Land O' Burns announces closing date

If you want to get your hands on a big pot of prize money — including a three grand payout for the winners — then you need to be quick.

Bands have been reminded that the closing date for entries for the Land O’ Burns ‘Brass in Concert’ contest is Saturday 7th June.

With a top prize of £3,000 to the winners and a generous prize fund of £6,600, it is one of Scotland’s most popular contests, and is open to bands from both sides of Hadrian’s Wall of Championship to Third Section.

Last year's winner was the high flying Co-operative Funeralcare Band who beat off the strong challenge of rivals Whitburn to claim the spoils

It all takes place at Troon Concert Hall on Saturday 23rd August.
