Army bands up and running

The trio of British Army brass bands are already up, running and playing to audiences.

Following intensive periods of hard work and preparation, 4BR has been informed that all three new Corps of Army Music brass bands are now up and running.

Rehearsals and commitments

The Band of the Royal Corps of Signals based in Cosford, The Band of the King’s Division located in Preston, and The Band of the Prince of Wales’s Division at St Athan have all undertaken their first rehearsals and performance commitments.

The Band of the King’s Division under the baton of Capt. Justin Matthews recently gave their debut performance prior to the results of the European Youth Band Championships in Perth, whilst as reported on 4BR, The Band of the Prince of Wales’s Division recently held their first official rehearsal in South Wales under Capt Paul Collis- Smith.

The Band of the King’s Division will now be performing this evening (17th May) in their first full concert at Rochdale Town Hall in support of the ABF (Soldier’s Charity)4BR
