There was a good day of music making to enjoy at the Hawth Theatre in Crawley on the weekend, where adjudicator Paul Cosh was the man in the box to impress at the scaba Spring Contest.
Clean sweep
The Tilbury Band directed by Andrew Austin took the First Section honours, with a clean sweep of the section, individual and march prizes to go with it.
In the Second Section, it was Cranbrook Town under Ian Lanceley that claimed victory, with Brighton & Hove City Brass topping the Third Section conducted by Matthew Hackett. Shanklin Town Youth won the Youth Section.
