4BR has been informed that Belgian champion Brass Band Willebroek will have Roger Webster as part of their solo cornet section as they look to claim their fourth European title in Perth next weekend.

Wonderful player

A spokesperson for the band told 4BR: "Roger will join us in Perth to add strength and experience to our cornet section.

He is a wonderful player and we are all delighted that he has agreed to play with us. Everyone is looking forward to working with him."

Looking forward

Meanwhile, Roger added: "I’m also looking forward to playing with Brass Band Willebroek under their inspirational MD Frans Violet.

I have played with the band on several occasions in the past and also worked under the direction of Frans during my time with CWS Glasgow, who is an extremely dedicated and skilled conductor."
