The Brass in the Valley Entertainment contest was held in Murley in Northern Ireland recently, where it proved to be a great day for the home band, who won the Championship Section title for the first time.
The band also scooped the ‘Best Soloist’ award with, James Cooke playing, ‘Oh When the Saints’, as well as the ‘Best March’ award.
Topped
Third Carrickfergus continued their winning run with success in the Second Seciton, and the other Carrickfergus based band, CWA Brass topped the Third Section.
After their fine win at the Queen’s Festival in November, Dungannon Silver kept up the momentum by winning the Fourth Section, with Dynamic Brass, a new ensemble from the Lisburn area collecting all the awards in the Fifth Section.
