British sponsors partner North American Championships

Sterling Musical Instruments, John Packer Ltd, Rath Trombones and Smith Watkins have joined forces to become the joint lead sponsors of the NABBA Championships

The 32nd North American Brass Band Championships, which will be held in Grand Rapids in Michigan this weekend, has announced a major sponsorship partnership with leading a quartet of British companies.

Sterling Musical Instruments, John Packer Ltd, Rath Trombones and Smith Watkins have joined forces to become the joint lead sponsors of the event.

Importance

Paul Riggett of Sterling Instruments told 4BR that the growing importance of the American marketplace and the professional approach of the NABBA organisation in building the event in stature year on year were major reasons for the companies to add their support.

"There is a wonderful sense of adventure, communal spirit and excellence about these championships which all four companies appreciate and respect.

The opportunity to become involved is one that we all agreed was too good to miss and we are all delighted to become sponsors of what we are sure will be another huge event success."

NABBA President Dr. Stephen Arthur Allen was equally delighted that the North American brass band movement contuse to grow and gain worldwide respect.

"NABBA XXXII has already broken all previous attendance records," he told 4BR.
