BBP Registry changes to help bands

New changes to the Brass Band Players Registry set to help bands.

BBP Registry

The Brass Band Players Registry has announced a number of new changes to the way in which their registry system works, following feedback from bands.

No surcharge

There will no longer be a £10.00 surcharge for a ‘New Player’ registration that is processed within 4 weeks of that player's registration being cancelled with their previous band.

From the beginning of the new business financial year (1st April 2014) each ‘New Player’ registration will now cost £5.00, regardless of the date of cancellation of their previous registration.

Dates of Birth

The BBP Registry has also decided to delete all dates of birth from the Player Lists.

The Registry will still require all New Player registration applications to include the player's date of birth, but this piece of data will solely be used as a cross-referencing technique at the Registry office.

As such, any incomplete applications will be returned unprocessed to sender.
