Geneva the ultimate aid to success

The very best bands at all competitive levels have enjoyed Area success thanks to Geneva...

Geneva Instruments

Once again, Geneva Instruments has been providing the perfect musical accompaniment to enable bands to qualify for the most prestigious brass band contests in the world.

All over the country

All over the country, at all levels and on different instruments, bands and performers that have chosen to play on Geneva instruments have been successful, and as a result have qualified to play at the National Finals at the Royal Albert Hall in London or the Centaur Centre at Cheltenham.

Two of the best bands in the world in Co-operative Funeralcare in Scotland and Reg Vardy in the North East produced superb performances of Kenneth Downie’s ‘St Magnus’ to claim Area titles, whilst their players also picked up prestigious individual awards on Geneva Instruments.

Individual prizes

Graeme Tindall took the ‘Best Cornet’ prize with Reg Vardy in Darlington, with Jim Hayes doing the same with Co-operative Funeralcare in Perth.

Not to be outdone, the ‘Best Euphonium’ at the Dolphin Centre went to Reg Vardy’s Paul Robinson with the ‘Best Soprano’ award being claimed by the band’s Tom Glendinning.

Great month

A Geneva spokesperson told 4BR: "All in all it’s been a great month for both bands and players who have chosen the best instruments in the banding world."

The impressive list below shows bands that have qualified for their National Finals, and have players using Geneva Instruments.
