4BR has been informed that the Dutch National Championships will have a new home from 2015, with the news that the competition will move from Groningen to Utrecht.
Same venue
The event will in future be held at the venue that will also host the European Brass Band Championships in 2018.
A spokesperson told 4BR: "The Dutch Brass Band Championships will be held at Tivoli Vredenburg in Utrecht after the board of the NBK decided to move from Groningen to meet its long held aim of attracting more participants and supporters to the event."

Negotiations
NBK President Abel Veenstra added: "We had several months of negotiations with Tivoli Vredenburg and local government representatives to talk about acoustics, logistics and finances.
The transition to Tivoli Vredenburg will see the event take place on the last Friday in October in Utrecht.
Because of the good acoustics and intimacy of the concert hall we now hope even more people will come to enjoy our championships."
