Bands set to sparkle at Iron Bridge Festival

Jaguar Land Rover and Jackfield (Elcock Reisen) will be centre stage this summer at Iron Bridge.

The organiser's of the Iron Bridge Brass Band Festival have announced details about this year's event.

Over the weekend of 19th & 20th July 2014, the festival will take place on the Green at Enginuity, which is part of the Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust.

18 to appear

Throughout the weekend, eighteen bands will appear to perform a variety of repertoire with two of the regions well known championship section bands performing at night time.

On the Saturday, Jaguar Land Rover under Dave Lea will appear in concert whilst twenty four hours later, Jackfield (Elcock Reisen) will bring the weekend to a close under Simon Platford.

Both bands will be joined on stage by Mezzo Soprano, Helen E May in programmes featuring music from stage and screen.

The organisers have confirmed that attendance is free of charge for the day time events whilst marquees will be available to protect spectators from the wet weather or to allow them to sit in the shade.
