The deadline for the Ty Cerdd Young Composer 2014 competition is fast approaching with young Welsh composers asked to submit their works for brass band by 31st January.
Cash prize
The winner of the competition will be awarded a cash prize of £1,000 and have their work performed and recorded by the National Youth Brass Band of Wales in July this year.
The composition should be an original, unpublished work in one continuous movement, lasting between 5 — 7 minutes.
Judges
The competition judges will include the composer, Peter Reynolds, Ty Cerdd Director, Gwyn L. Williams and this year’s NYBBW conductor, Reid Gilje.
