4BR has been informed that former Black Dyke and Desford horn star Miles Davison will be joining Grimethorpe Colliery Band as their new solo horn player after competing his final performance with the EYMS Band at the Butlins Mineworkers Championship in Skegness this weekend.
Experience
Grimethorpe's Director of Music Dr Robert Childs told 4BR: "Miles will bring great experience and expertise to the band.
We hope the successes he enjoyed under Maestro James Watson at Desford Colliery and Black Dyke, and which included a hat-trick of National wins, will rub off on us!"
