New faces at Mossley ahead of Butlins defence

The Mossley Band will defend their Butlins title with the help of some new faces in the ranks.

The Mossley Band has welcomed several new faces to the ranks ahead of the defence of their Butlins Mineworkers Championship title in Skegness.

New players

John Taylor and Steve Scaife come in on the front row cornet bench with Neal Mcnulty returning to the band on soprano.

Karen Hitchen also returns on second cornet with Paul Goldbourne taking over the second euphonium spot and Graham Coy returning on percussion.

I’m really looking forward to taking to the stage in defence of our Butlins title and then at the North West Area where we will be hoping to seal promotion to the First SectionMD, Duncan Byers

MD, Duncan Byers told 4BR: "These new signings will really strengthen the band.

They all bring a wealth of talent and experience and I’m really looking forward to taking to the stage in defence of our Butlins title and then at the North West Area where we will be hoping to seal promotion to the First Section."
