The Lofthouse Band organisation recently held their annual presentations with awards going to members of both their senior and B bands.
Fantastic progress
The ‘B’ Band ‘Most Improved Player’ was shared between horn player Emily Fawthrop and baritone player Emily Suggett (above), with MD Jayne Richardson telling 4BR that, "...both had made fantastic progress over the past year."
The senior band, ‘Most Improved Player’ award went to, went to 3rd cornet player Ruth Fawthrop in recognition of her outstanding progress over the past 12 months, whilst the euphonium and baritone section took the ‘Section of the Year’ award.
Double
James Austerfield was the deserved ‘Band Person of the Year’ for his outstanding commitment and also made it a personal ‘double’ by claiming the ‘Player’s Player of the Year’ award.
