The West Midlands Divisional Fellowship Band made sure they were perhaps the first brass band to undertake a Christmas Concert this year when they got their festive programme off the ground at a special ‘Songs Of Praise’ event at a packed Solihull Arts Centre.
Christmas items
As well as a number of solo items including almost inevitably Erik Leidzen’s march ‘Christmas Joy’, the band accompanied all of the audience carols.
They were joined by local singer and raconteur Malcolm Stent, Voices Together a local choir, actor Andrew Cullum who presented a dramatic monologue and vocalist Maggie O’Hara who included Joy Webbs ‘On A Starry Night’ in her solo items.
