Members from Pendeen Silver Band recently recorded a series of Cornish hymns as part of a collaborative Art Project entitled, ‘Edges & Extremes’.
Tin Mine
The project, which was inspired by Geevor Tin Mine and the surrounding west Cornwall landscape, was undertaken by visual artist Sally Booth along with the Scottish poet Evlynn Sharp.
Focused on the local area its people and the industry, a number of monologues and poems were recorded at the BBC Radio Cornwall studios along with the contribution of Cornish hymns played by some members of the band.
