Baker set for recital performance

Black Dyke principal trombonist Brett Baker will be presenting his DMA Recital at Peel Hall in Salford University Thursday the 28th November

Significant works

Starting at 8.00pm he will be joined by the English National champion under the baton of Dr Nicholas Childs and accompanist Ruth Webb to perform a number of significant works for the instrument and brass band.

Premiere

These will include the premiere of Rob Wiffin’s ‘Trombone Concerto’, Gareth Wood’s ‘Dance Sequence’, the Derek Bourgeois ‘Sonata’ and many other rarely played trombone works.
