Grimethorpe Colliery Band under conductor Dr Robert Childs will be holding their pre-National open rehearsal ahead of their Albert Hall challenge on Thursday 10th October.

Regent Hall
Meanwhile, the band has also announced its programme for their Regent Hall concert appearance on Friday night starting at 7.30pm.
In addition to a performance of the set work, ‘Of Distant Memories’, there will also be some old Grimey favourites such as the ‘Finale’ from the ‘William Tell’ overture, Robert Redhead’s, ‘Reflections in Nature’ and ‘Praise’ by Wilfred Heaton, with the finale of the ‘March’ from ‘Pines of Rome’.
In addition there will be a number of Grimethorpe principals performing solos.
