Family fortunes at Dobcross

Several new signings give Dobcross a family player boost.

Dobcross Silver has announced several new and returning players to the band.

New players

Jane Nelson has graduated from their innovative ‘Brass Monkeys’ adult learning group on second baritone with euphonium player Maggie Spencer coming from Kirkbymoorside Town.

Meanwhile, four members of the Sutcliffe come in; led by father Richard on solo horn, with wife Kara on flugel, son Keelan on percussion and 13 year old Hollie-Mae on cornet.

Following the arrival of new MD Tim Sidwell in July the band has seen a steady increase in numbers and we now have a great team and a great friendly atmosphereDobcross Band

Returning

Also returning is cornet player Liz Black after three years of study at Lancaster University.
