The sun certainly shone on the famous Hardraw Scar Brass Band Festival last Sunday, as once again the 132 year old event, with its backdrop of the highest free falling waterfall in England, attracted a hugely appreciative, capacity crowd to hear bands play at the beautiful venue in the heart of Wensleydale.
Support
The contest is presented by the Yorkshire & Humberside Brass Band Association in partnership with Mark Thompson, proprietor of the Green Dragon Inn, with support from Theakstons Brewery, and 13 bands competed in two sections.
Hade Edge gained the victory laurels in Section A with local dales band, Leyburn claiming the Section B title.
