Ford's link with old friends

Australian conductor Mark Ford is to spend a couple of enjoyable weeks in the UK linking up with some old brass band friends.

Mark Ford, the three times Australian National Championship winning conductor and ex-MD of Kew Band Melbourne, will be visiting the United Kingdom in the next few weeks to meet up with some old friends and to enjoy plenty of brass band music making.

Manchester

Mark will be based for a fortnight in and around Manchester and will be staying with close friend Brett Baker along with Russell and Mareika Gray.

He told 4BR: "I hope to visit plenty of bands as well as Salford University before travelling back to Australia to mentor Louisa Lawless and South Brisbane Federal Band prior to their performance at the Federation of Australasian Brass Bands (FABB) Australasian Open and Queensland State Band Championships."
