The Fairey Band is certainly playing its part in a timely resurgence of Acid House music with another performance of Acid Brass at the Whitworth Art Gallery in Manchester at the end of the month.
Art Spectacular
The famous gallery, attached to Manchester University, is closing for major refurbishment in September and to mark the temporary closure it is hosting a free ‘Art Spectacular’ from the 30th August — 1st September to say thank you to the staff and local people.
Special
The Acid Brass feature takes place late on the Friday night which, with the aid of special lighting effects, promises to be something special, as Band Manager Nigel Beasley told 4BR:
"Once again the event highlights the enduring appeal of Acid Brass."

Groove
He added: "It's more popular than ever with audiences and artists alike. In September we are also performing a private Acid Brass set for a wedding in London and at the end of the year plans are underway for the band to perform at Tate Britain. The Groove Won't Stop!"
