The talented Ben Vleminckx has been appointed the new MD at Bristol East & Kingswood.

Bristol East & Kingswood Band based in Hanham near Bristol has recently appointed the talented young conductor Ben Vleminckx as their new Resident MD.

Graduate

A graduate from Bath Spa University where he studied for a BA in Music, he has been a percussionist at both Helston Town and Camborne as well as bands in Gloucester and Wales.

Great opportunity

Ben told 4BR: "As a young professional it's a great opportunity to give something back as a MD to the banding community, as it did so much for me whilst growing up.

I have great ambitions for building the band and pushing them forward as much as I can."

CLEETHORPES BAND CIO

April 3 • We have vacancies for a trombone player and a bass player. Cleethorpes Band rehearse near the seafront on Thursday and Sunday evenings. Placed 3rd in the NOE 4th section. Other players are always welcome as we may be able to switch positions around
