New Brass Band Players Registry website

Brass Band Players Registry launches new website and library music loan feature

Brass Band Players Registry

The Brass Band Players Registry has launched its brand new website — designed to provide easier access and information to bands and their representatives.

Access

BBP Registrar Tim Jones told 4BR that the site will now be able to provide an important registration information resource for English bands, with band secretaries able to access and download everything they need to keep their registration matters in check.

He told 4BR: "New player application forms, transfer forms, BBP rules etc are now much more easily accessible. Whatever you need, you will be able to find it on the website – and if not, then there are immediate contact information details on hand."

On line

Tim added: "BBP is also currently working on an online registration feature, which will eventually allow bands to register new players, cancel registration cards, transfer players from one BBP band to another, and pay for re-validations online."

Other pages on the new website include a rules page, which allows the user to double-check any rule that they may be uncertain about (this can also be done with the Fee Schedule page), whilst the all important contact details for the Registry can be found on the ‘Contact Us’ page.

Reminders

There is also a list of upcoming competitions on the website homepage, to remind bands that their next contest may be upon them sooner than they might think!

Music library

The BBP Registry is also offering an extra facility of a brass band music library.

The Registry currently stores over 100 full-band sets, as well as over 150 scores, which are all available to be loaned.

Representatives from a BBP-registered band can contact the Registry and request any of the pieces listed on the website for a small deposit (which will be returned upon return of the item)
