Lone Rangers help beat the Yankees

Players from the Texas Star Brass Band certainly did their bit to help their baseball team beat the famous New York Yankees this week.

Players from the Texas Star Brass Band (above on the field of play) helped inspire the Texas Rangers baseball team to a 3-0 win over the famous New York Yankees in front of 42,000 spectators on Monday.

Home boost

The teams battled it out in a hard fought four game series in Arlington, which eventually ended two each.

However, in the first match the playing of the Texas Star Brass ensemble performing the National Anthem certainly gave the home team a boost as they shut out the Yankees and ended their own four match losing run.

As one Texas Rangers fan told reporters: "Texas Star Brass Band was a great beginning to a great game! Go Rangers!"

Fans of the Texas Rangers are already asking for the band to return once again to play in the hope that they will inspire the baseball team to the end of season play offs!
