The Cornwall Youth Band is making its annual appeal for young musicians who wish to join the organisation in time for their new season of courses and tuition, starting in September.

Enjoy

A spokesperson told 4BR: "With eight monthly rehearsals and two residential courses from September until April, there is plenty of opportunity to make new friends and enjoy the benefit of working with excellent local tutors and guest conductors."

This season Richard Evans and Ian Porthouse (above) will lead the Christmas and Easter Courses respectively, whilst they will be joined by star horn player Owen Farr.

And as one recent Cornwall Youth Band player said: "Without the Cornwall Youth Band I would not be the player I am today, and would not have had the wonderful experiences that have come my way at this point in my life."
