New principal at Besses

Stephanie Coward has been appointed the new principal cornet at Besses O' Th' Barn Band.

Besses O’ th’ Barn Band has announced that following the decision of long standing principal cornet Jim Murray's to retire, they are delighted to welcome Stephanie Coward as their new cornet section leader.

Banding return

Stephanie last played principal cornet with Dobcross Silver Band before she took up her full time accountancy studies, but now these have finished she has been able to return to banding and looks forward to leading Besses into the forthcoming concert and contest season.

Her first concert engagement will be in Marple next month.
