Grimethorpe in action

Grimethorpe Colliery Band has been featured in a series of short film features on the world of brass by classical music publishers Sinfini Music.

Band Plays On

Entitled, ‘The Band Plays On’, the six minute video sees the likes of Roger Webster and Band Manager Nigel Dixon talk about the band and what it means to them and their local community.

Resource

Steve Long, BPI Classical Committee member told 4BR: "Sinfini Music is an invaluable online resource supported by all labels, which will help ensure that classical music remains accessible for existing fans while also reaching and educating a new generation of music lovers."

Highly respected

Nigel Dixon told 4BR: "Sinfini is a highly respected company who wanted to show the important part the band continues to play in the local community.

They not only looked at the work we undertake as musical ambassadors for the community, but also by providing local youngsters with the opportunity to have a musical hobby that can take them all over the world."
