Dobcross Silver Band has announced the appointment of new Musical Director, Tim Sidwell.

Popular choice

Following a series of auditions, Tim was the popular choice with everyone connected to the organisation.

He has already achieved outstanding results as MD with Crofton Silver Band and for the last 5 years has been playing with Yorkshire Championship Section band Hepworth.

First engagement

Tim’s first engagement was the annual trip to the Durham Miners Gala where they once again played in support of the Boldon Colliery Community Banner Group.

The Band is currently working on a programme of music for their annual Brass on the Grass concert on the Green in Dobcross, which has now been rescheduled for 15th September.
