4BR has been informed that there have been further developments on for the recording of ‘Melodies from the Great Composers’, a recording of Salvation Army-published classical transcriptions and arrangements, in aid of The Clarence Adoo Trust.
Guest soloist
Cory soprano star Steve Stewart (right of picture) has agreed to be a guest soloist on the project and will perform Vernon Post’s transcription of Hummel’s ‘Concerto for Trumpet’.
Steve will now join horn star Owen Farr and trombonist Davur Juul Magnussen on the recording which will see them accompanied by the Scottish Open Champion, Co-operative Funeralcare Band.
Venue
The Royal Scottish National Orchestra’s rehearsal and recording base, Henry Wood Hall in Glasgow, will be the venue for the recording.
