Partnership bloom for RASWA Band

The Royal Agricultural Society of Western Australia announces continuation of musical partnership.

RASWA Band

The Royal Agricultural Society of Western Australia has announced the continuation of their sponsorship of the Perth based band that carries its name.

Rehearsal facility

More commonly known as the RASWA Band, the deal continues a partnership that started in 2009 and will see a further three year association that includes the use of a permanent rehearsal facility at the organisation’s Ellie Eaton Theatre.

Outstanding

The Royal Agricultural Society of Western Australia President Hugh Harding (pictured centre) told 4BR: "The RAS fully supports this outstanding band, which enthrals audiences with their music at the IGA Perth Royal show each year.

By sponsoring these elite musicians it also enables them to spread their musical talent, Australia-wide."

Delighted

Band President Stuart Bennion was delighted that following the band’s recent success in achieving their highest place ever at the National Championships in their home city, the announcement will enable them to make further long term progress.

"Getting a new home for the band is something we have wanted to do for a long time and the continuing sponsorship by the Royal Agricultural Society is something every band member fully appreciates," he told 4BR.

Partnership

"The band competes in one national event in the eastern states and one Western Australia based competition a year.

The wonderful partnership enables us to proudly carry the RASWA name to compete and function at the top level in Australia and to be able to seek international connections such as our recent successful association with Dr Robert Childs."
