It has been announced that Russell Gray will direct 2014 European Youth Brass Band at the European Festival of Brass in Perth next year.
Euro championships
The Festival will incorporate the European Brass Band Championship as well as many other high profile events around Scotland during the period 26th April – 3rd May, with the youth band playing a major role in the celebrations.
Experience
A Scottish Brass Band Association spokesperson told 4BR: "We are absolutely delighted that Russell has accepted this appointment.
His immense experience will present a valuable dimension to the young members of the European Youth Band, who will play such a critical part of the overall festival."

The European Youth Brass Band was founded by the European Brass Band Association in 2000 and comprises of promising young players who are formally selected each year by the EBBA member countries they represent.
