2013 sees the ongoing development of the exciting partnership of Foden’s with Glyn Williams Musical Instruments and instrument manufacturers Sterling.
Proudly play
The ‘Double Champions’ now proudly play Sterling Virtuoso horns, baritones and euphoniums as well as soprano cornet, to underline the fact that Sterling really is the ‘Choice of Champions’.
The innovative synergy between Glyn Williams and Paul Riggett of Sterling has seen them work closely with Foden’s soprano player Richard Poole, solo horn Lesley Poole and solo baritone Natsumi McDonald to develop instruments that match the quality of the brilliant Sterling Virtuoso euphonium.
High profile
Band Manager Mark Wilkinson told 4BR: "Foden's is delighted to welcome Glyn Williams Musical Instruments and Sterling to its list of high profile partners.
The companies provided us with Sterling euphoniums, baritones, horns and soprano that were played on when the band won the historic 'double' in 2012. We are now looking forward to continue our successful relationship with both highly respected companies."
Memorable
Sterling Instruments commitment to youth development has also seen them present a cheque for £500 to the Foden’s Youth Band at the Royal Northern College of Music Festival of Brass this year.
Meanwhile, Foden’s helped Sterling celebrate its 25th anniversary in May, on what was a memorable night of world class entertainment at the Bedford Corn Exchange.
