Morecambe & White help a Great Ormond Street cause

Sheona White helps the Morecambe Band raise funds for the fantastic work undertaken at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London.

Sheona White and Morecambe Band

The Morecambe Band recently welcomed Black Dyke horn star horn Sheona White as their guest soloist to help raise funds in a special concert for the Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital in London.

Outstanding

The event also featured outstanding contributions from soloists John Evans, Harry Cunningham, Carol Blaylock and Simon Moore, as well as plenty of musical entertainment from the band directed by MD Andrew Warriner.

Sheona White delighted a packed audience with her wonderful playing with no less than six stunning items that ranged from ‘Cappriccio Brillante’ to ‘Concert Etude’.

The concert rose close to £1,200 for the famous hospital, where Andrew Warringer’s youngest daughter Hannah is a patient.

I can’t thank everyone enough. Sheona was amazing and it meant so much to my wife Samantha, Hannah and meMD, Andrew Warriner

Thanks

Andrew commented: "I can’t thank everyone enough. Sheona was amazing and it meant so much to my wife Samantha, Hannah and me."

The Cheltenham bound National finalists are looking forward to a number of high profile concerts over the summer including a joint concert with the Houghton Weavers and two appearances at the famous Southport Flower Show.
