French connection for Uckfield

Uckfield Concert Brass has just returned from a successful trip to France.

Uckfield Concert Brass has just returned from a successful musical trip to France as guests of Just Brass 79.

Wonderful

The band spent four wonderful days based in the town of Chef Boutonne, where they set up at the excellent facilities provided by Camping Moulin.

The band performed an informal concert on the final day of the tour to the delight of the many British holiday home owners at the site.

Pleasure

A spokesperson told 4BR: "It was a pleasure to work once again with Just Brass 79 and our thanks must go to Neville James, George and Kathy Ball and Fabrice Michelet for organising two great joint concerts in Chef Boutonne and Maire L Evescault."

The band also managed to fit in an outdoor concert in the lovely market town of Melle in between rain showers!

French connection

The tour not only provided former Uckfield player George Ball, to chance to once again play with the band, but to also join up with six former band members.

Meanwhile, Just Brass 79 would love to hear from any other ex-pat brass players in their area of France who would like to have a blow: http://www.justbrass79.fr/
