Brass Bands England has announced the details of its 2013 Annual General Meeting.
BBE membership is being encouraged to make every possible effort to attend a meeting that could turn out to be one of the most important in the organisation’s history.
Time and place
The AGM takes place on Sunday 21st July at BBE’s National Office at Unit 12, Maple Estate, Stocks Lane, Barnsley, South Yorkshire. S75 2BL. The meeting will start at 10.00am.
Nominations
Nominations for the election of Honorary Officers and Board of Trustees, as well as resolutions for the AGM agenda, must be made in writing and received no later than the 21st June.
They must be addressed to, and received by, BBE General Secretary, Carol Tattersfield at the above address by this date.

Proxy voting
BBE has started that for the first time, proxy voting will be allowed.
A spokesperson told 4BR: "This meeting will allow proxy voting, either prior to the meeting in writing, or by nominated representatives attending the meeting with written confirmation from those they are to represent in the voting process."
They added: "We hope that as many members as possible will attend this meeting so that a true vote can be made and members are able to express their opinions."
