Tabby Clegg is to step down from her role as MD of Slaithwaite Band in the autumn.

Tabby Clegg

4BR has been informed that Tabby Clegg will be stepping down as the MD of the Slaithwaite Band this coming autumn.

After three years at the helm, Tabby has indicated her intention to end her tenure due to an increasing number of forthcoming events and projects.

Memorable

Commenting on her decision Tabby told 4BR: "My three years at Slaithwaite have been memorable, and the band has developed so much musically."

She added: "The wonderful team of players and supporters has allowed some fine music-making and development of great friendships. I have been so grateful for their support both professionally and personally over the last three years.

However, future projects and other ventures will be demanding of time and flexibility, and as such, allowing the band to create a new partnership now and hand the baton over in the correct manner is vital."

Fresh approach

Band manager, Andrew Booth added: "Tabby brought a wealth of experience to the band. Together with a fresh approach and her enthusiasm she helped to produce some great concert and contest work.

With her help, we have also had the opportunity to experience a variety of enjoyable engagements. We thank her for all she has done in the time she has been with us and we wish her and partner Simon, all the best in their future careers."
