Geneva Musical Instruments will sponsor the National Finals for a third year.

The National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain has announced that the Principal Sponsor for the 2013 Finals will once again be Geneva Instruments.

Third time

This will be the third time that the Geneva Company has sponsored the event, as well as this year linking with the Scottish Brass Band Association.

Tim Oldroyd of Geneva told 4BR: “The National Championships remain an icon of achievement and an inspiration across the world to players, with which we’re very proud to be associated.

Without doubt, the ‘Nationals’ create international interest in Geneva instruments and, in turn, Geneva is delighted to contribute something to the world’s most prestigious competition series.”

Heart

Craig Buchan, Geneva’s Managing Director, added: "Brass bands are at the heart of what we do as a company and we are excited once again to be supporting the championships.

We feel honoured to be given this opportunity to again share the stages of the National Finals with the nation’s best bands and to be able to contribute to the health of the banding nation."

Delighted

Philip Morris, of Kapitol Promotions, told 4BR they were delighted to again welcome Geneva on board.

"At a time when many companies might struggle to step up to the bar of sponsorship, Geneva has lived up to its pledge of sponsorship made immediately after last year’s Finals," he said.

"We are therefore delighted to welcome the Geneva as Principal Sponsor. The professionalism with which Geneva is currently run is a perfect fit for the ‘National’."
