Death of Gresley player

The death has been announced of Gary Horsley of Gresley Colliery Band.

Gresley Colliery Band is deeply saddened to announce the death of band member and friend, Gary Horsley.

Gary passed away peacefully following a short illness on Sunday 5th May. He was aged 47.

Committed bandsman

A band spokesperson told 4BR: "Gary was a committed bandsman and member of Gresley Colliery Band for over 15 years. He was also a founder member of Liquidbrass and a key part of its early success.

He will be fondly remembered for his sharp wit as well as his considerable musical ability and unshakable commitment."

Funeral

The funeral will take place at Bretby Crematorium, DE15 0QE on Tuesday 21st May at 3.45pm.
