Weston attracts fine turn out

The 45th Weston super Mare Contest has attracted a fine turn out of bands.

The popular Weston-Super-Mare Own Choice Contest will take place at the town’s Winter Gardens, on Sunday 19th May. An excellent day of contesting is assured with good facilities for the bands, their supporters and families.

The adjudicators are Chris Wormald and David Thornton, with Brian Elliott as Contest Controller.

Promotion

This will be the 45th Weston Contest, run for the second year as a South West Brass Band Association promotion supported by Parkwood Leisure.

The Contest will commence at 10.15am, with tickets from the Box Office at £7 with concessions.

Contest Administrator, John Woods told 4BR: "This is an excellent line up of bands covering a vast area from Cornwall to Gloucestershire, South Wales to Leicestershire across to Hampshire."
