City of Cambridge Band has announced the appointment of Peter Bassano (above) as their new Musical Director, to be assisted by Richard Graves:

Band spokesperson Alan Huddleston told 4BR: "The band would like to thank all those who applied for the posts. There were many strong candidates, but the band has chosen to benefit from the vast amount of experience and commitment to future growth through the appointment of Peter and Richard.

With some exciting new projects are ahead including the production of a CD and with only a few seats left to fill, the band is looking forward to a period of strength and growth."
