Land O' Burns looks for entries

There is a big prize pot to be won at the Land O' Burns Contest in Troon later this year.

The organisers of the Land O’ Burns Contest are inviting bands to enter the 2013 event which will take place at Troon Concert Hall on Saturday 24th August.

Big prizes

With £6,500 in prize money to be won, including a first prize of £3,000, the contest attracts the best bands in Scotland and south of Hadrian’s Wall, as well as many contenders for the generous First and Second Section prizes that are on offer. Last year’s event saw Co-operative Funeralcare claim the title.

This year this is an additional £500 entertainment prize up for grabs too.
