Arhus Brass take a new look at being Brassed Off to win premier Danish entertainment title.

Århus Brass Band under the direction of MD, Anne Mette Tilsted Hansen has won the Danish Silkeblæs Entertainment Contest which took place last weekend.

Winning programme

The band’s winning programme was inspired by the theme of ‘brassical’ which was an innovative interpretation of the famous film ‘Brassed Off’, but where the musicians performed the acting as well as playing roles.

Title

Aarhus claimed the title ahead of second placed Concord Brass Band, with Norvestjysk Brass in third in a nine band field of competitors.
