72 members of the Cornwall Youth Brass Band will spend their Easter Weekend on a four day Residential Course working on a selection of his own music with composer Paul Lovatt- Cooper.
First visit
Paul is paying his first visit to the Cornwall Youth Brass Band to work with resident conductors, Alan Pope, Aaron Harvey and Jeremy Willcock.
Along with the team of local tutors, the conductors have been preparing the band at their monthly rehearsals, leading up to the course at Truro High School for Girls.
Concert
The course culminates in a Gala Concert at St Michael’s Church in Newquay on Monday 1st April.

Launched this year by his family in memory of the late composer and Bard, they are for the benefit of young Cornish based musicians to help them further their musical careers by making a cash donation towards the cost of an instrument or lessons.
Numerous applications have been received and the presentations to the first awardees will be made by Goff’s widow, Sue.
