Following their success at qualification for the National Finals at the Royal Albert Hall, the star players of Grimethorpe Colliery Band will be getting together this weekend to inspire the young players at the third Grimethorpe Besson Youth Band Day.

Expert tuition

With over 100 members now firmly established in the new band, players will be treated to the usual expert tuition, led by course leader and conductor Shaun Crowther.

Gareth Crane told 4BR: "We’ve changed the format ever so slightly for this Spring Course to keep it fresh.

The children will work towards performing a showcase concert for family and friends later the dame day without the assistance of the senior band."
