Bolsover District Council will once again open its doors for entrants for its popular Festival of Brass.
Format
The 2013 event is set for the weekend of 5th/6th October, with the Charity Entertainment Contest taking place on the Saturday at Shirebrook Leisure Centre, with the main contest the following day at Heritage High School, Clowne.
Evening event
Carole Crompton, Arts Development Officer from Bolsover District Council told 4BR: "We are once again supporting Breast Cancer Research, a charity which is also regularly supported by the District Council. The Charity Entertainment Contest will change its format this year by becoming an evening event commencing at 7.00pm.
Food and drink will be available all day and evening, so we hope it will create a great atmosphere."

Sunday contest
The Sunday contests will commence at 9.30am where two venues will run simultaneously. The school is self contained with rehearsal venues, catering and bar facilities.

Entry to this event is £5 or £4 concessions. Tickets available on the door.
The Saturday event will take place at Shirebrook Leisure Centre, Park Road, Shirebrook, Mansfield, Notts, NG20 8JQ commencing at 7pm.
