English National reveals eight band line up

The English National Championship has attracted a provisional eight band line-up.

It has been announced that there will be a provisional eight band line-up for the 2013 English National Championships in Birmingham in June.

Hopeful

Brass Bands England are hopeful that they will be able to possibly add a couple more contenders to the event that will take place at the Elgar Concert Hall of the University of Birmingham on Saturday June 29th.

The current line-up does not include 2012 'Double' champions Foden's, or top 10 world ranked Brighouse & Rastrick, Grimethorpe, Fairey or Leyland.

Winners

The winning band over the two legged contest will be invited to represent England at the 2014 European Championships in be held in Perth.

Should either Black Dyke or Leyland claim the 2013 title in Olson this May, then England will be represented by two bands in 2014.
