An audience of over 900 people attended Bolton’s Victoria Hall on the weekend to help support the latest Smithills School Senior Brass Band Bolton Hospice fund raising event.

As a result the concert rose over £5,000 for the hospice funds, taking the overall total raised by Smithills under MD Chris Wormald over the past 23 years, to well in excess of £300,000.

Sinatra to Les Mis
The concert was entitled ‘From Sinatra to Les Miserables,’ and featured the talents of 16 year old soloist and principal euphonium player Jacob Smith, who is also a member of the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain.
