77 bands enter North West Regional Contest

77 bands will take to the stage at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool for the North West Regional Championships on 10th March.

Acting North West Regional Secretary Peter Bates has informed 4BR that the forthcoming championship at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens on March 10th has attracted an entry of 77 bands – down two from 2012.

12 bands will compete in the Championship Section, with 15 in First, 17 in Second 17 in Third (due to one late withdrawal) and 16 in Fourth.

Peter told 4BR: "The list of adjudicators has already been announced, although it has been necessary to change those for the Fourth Section and taking the two seats in the box now are Ewan Easton and Stephen Brodie."

Time and tickets

The event starts at 9.30am in the Winter Gardens, Blackpool on Sunday 10th March.

All-Day tickets are available from the Box Office on the day of the event only.
